| After making sure the bandsaw blade and cutting table are perfectly square (very important; use a precision block), I have started to rough-cut the excess material off the assembly, profiling to shape. I'm cutting close to the line, but just outside of it. I want to still see a little of the white of the paper on the outside of the line. The bandsaw cuts a very rough edge, so I want to leave myself a little room to be able to clean it up later. I use a sheet of plexi on my bandsaw tabletop; this helps keep down scratches while I'm sliding the assembly around during cutting. |
