There was a HUGE turnout for the opening reception of "New West Coast Design: jewelry + metalwork, where two of my knives were featured in this juried Jewelry & Metals exhibition at www.velvetdavinci.com in San Francisco, as part of the larger exhibit, "New West Coast Design", in association with the San Francisco Museum of Craft + Design. Inspired by the CA Design exhibitions at the Pasadena Museum of Art (now the Norton Simon Museum) in the 1950s through the 1970s. NEW WEST COAST DESIGN is a group of exhibitions to be held in different venues in San Francisco focusing on specific developments in the craft and design fields.

The Argentinean Luxury magazine "4W" has contacted me once again to publish a follow up article on my work. They published a beautiful article on Jensen Knives last year, entitled "John Jensen: El Arte Del Cuchillo".

"Lark Books" has invited me to jury their upcoming publication, "500 Knives". Approximately 420 pages in length, the book will be an image-driven international collection of contemporary handmade knives. As the juror, I will evaluate the submissions received and select the images to be included in the book. This book is scheduled to be released in Fall, 2008.

A special edition of "Boom" magazine (U.K. and Hollywood), featured an article and exclusive interview with Jensen Knives, and was distributed at the AFM (American Film Market) and AFI Fest, as well as to patrons of selected restaurants and hotels in Santa Monica. AFM and the longest-running film festival in Los Angeles, the AFI FEST, is the largest gathering of film industry professionals in North America with more than 9000 attendees from 70 countries. Boom magazine is a special subscriber only publication of the worlds finest luxury goods and services.

David Revere Mcfadden, Chief Curator & Vice President: Museum of Arts + Design has invited John to participate in "Gold X 50".

In 2006-07 the Museum of Arts & Design celebrates its Golden Anniversary, and to celebrate fifty years of its history, the Museum will organize and present "Gold X 50", an exhibition, accompanying publication, and educational programs that illuminate the diverse art, craft, and design history of Gold, a metal unique in the history of art and culture, technology and design. Jensen Knives has been asked to create a special knife for the show, being one of fifty objects representing the diverse uses of gold.
