"Vengeance", as its name implies is a rather wicked folder. The first thing you probably notice is the incredibly patterned Damascus. This type of Damascus is actually referred to as Mosaic. As its name implies, it is made up of lots of different tiles. as you can imagine, Mosaic Damascus is at the pinnacle of this process. All of the steel is Daryl Meier's Calico Rose pattern which I deep etched to cause a serrated edge This was the first folder in which I started to try and solve the problems one faces in regards to folding knives; mainly being limited in terms of proportion, in that the blade has to be shorter than the handle, a spatial relationship I have never been fond of. You can see that the back end has a cut-out of sorts; a Scorpion tale to go with the claws of the modified cross guards. You can see a bit of the blade in this area when the knife is closed, this also visually lightens the piece. All surfaces have been delicately worked, from its double edged blade, concave bevels, bloodgrooved bolsters, and carved pearl, to the fully file-worked titanium liners and backbar, which feature nearly three inches of 18k Pink Gold inlays, and three Calico Rose inlays, inside and out. Nearly ten inches of evil sex appeal. This knife was a bit of a milestone in my career; Steven Tyler of the band Aerosmith bought this particular knife, and so it marks the point where I am actually becoming fairly successful.

This knife appeared in the following publications: in the book, "Art & Design in Modern Custom Folding Knives", the Feb-Apr. 2003 French magazine; "La Passion des Couteaux", the Feb. 2003 edition of "Knives Illustrated", the June 2002 issue of "Blade" magazine, "Knives Annual 2001", the Oct. 2000 Swiss magazine "Internationales Waffen-Magazin", Jan/Feb 2000 French magazine "Excalibur", and in the book "The Contemporary Blacksmith" published in 2000.
