| "Syndrome" is an elegant, small executive's desk knife featuring a blade of accordianed mosaic Damascus steel with a composite explosion pattern cutting edge, forged by Johan Gustofsson. Deep etched and chemically colored. The bolsters are etched and hot blued composite mosaic Damascus, also forged by Johan Gustofsson, with several undercut carved details, and 3mm Peridot and 3mm Garnet set in 18k royal yellow Gold. The bolsters are contoured together with, and flawlessly fit to the premium grade Abalone shell scales (with 2.5mm Sapphires, & 3mm Garnet cabs set in 18k royal yellow gold). Underneath the scales is a dramatic layer of high polished stainless steel. The liners are 6al4v titanium; 2-color anodized. The tang wrap is 6al4v grade titanium, 4-color anodized (gold, purple, bronze, blue). The spine features multiple Abalone inlays, concave carvings and a semi-transparent shell inlay with cropped face picture underlay, and also features 4mm Garnet, 4mm Citrine, 3mm Blue Paua all set in 18k royal yellow Gold. 8 1/2". |
