| Riptide is one of my greatest accomplishments in regards to knifemaking, design and execution. This knife is the culmination of over 500 hours of thought and craftsmanship. This knife employs a massive amount of some of my favorite high end materials; there are fifty-nine AA grade Sapphires, 18k yellow gold, sterling silver, mosaic Damascus, exhibition-grade blue fossil Mastodon Ivory, and pearl. This piece represents the full physical accumulation of my background and ability in jewelry, sculpture, and design in an incredible feat of manifestation. Riptide epitomizes the meeting of form and function, and the beauty of mind and materials. I welcome you to explore and enjoy all the attention to detail brought to life by the shaping, carving, fitting, soldering, polishing, stone setting, layers, colors, textures, precision mechanics, and all the rest that I employed into this creation where all elements flow together harmoniously.
