Griffin's Tongue -- Scroll to Bottom for Detailed Information on this Design

This beauty is frightening as well as sensual. A large fantasy piece from the ocean-depths of my subconscious. This piece features matching random patterned Damascus throughout, forged by the master, Daryl Meier. There is even a large piece of this Damascus set into the buttcap of the thirty ounce, cast and patinated Sterling Silver handle, which features a truly unique negative Stingray hide pattern. The Damascus pattern is then carried into the custom forged to shape guard. We then find a wicked, inside edge concave curved hollow ground blade, with its unique accessory blade, atop the opposite side. The blade is set up into the guard and surrounded by an inlaid Sterling Silver bezel at the point of insertion. The entire piece was carefully silver-soldered together, so as not to lose the hardness of the blade. A sheath of steer, stingray, and kangaroo, with Damascus finial finishes off the presentation.
